The Norwegian Public Roads Administration and Norled AS signed an agreement on Tuesday on the construction of the world's first hydrogen-electric ferry. It’ll be put into operation in Rogaland, Norway in 2021. The Hydrogen ferry agreement provides zero emissions in the ferry sector.
Together with other Norwegian businesses, Norled AS is invited to participate in the program when Prime Minister Erna Solberg this week is officially visiting India. Norled will share its experiences on how the company has participated in the development and movement of the Norwegian ferry industry to a greener and more environmentally friendly industry.
The AutoPASS payment system is organized by the The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA). In Norled, starting 1. January 2019 you may pay for the crossing using AutoPASS ferry cards, in addition to today’s existing ferry discount cards.
