Youth card

The youth card is a card for young persons and it is the individual county council that makes decisions concerning card regulations. The card is valid on buses (not all services), ferries, express boat services, light rail and local trains within each individual county.

Purchase and use

Buying the card:

The card must be ordered from the individual county council's transport companies and funds added to the card at selected sales outlets, not on ferries.

Using the youth card:

When travelling with a youth card, the card and a valid receipt must be shown to the ticket collector on board the ferry.

The following regulations apply to the individual county council's transport companies.

• Trafikanten. Møre og Romsdal county
  Youth card for young persons under 20 years of age.
• Service information. Net. Sogn og Fjordane county
  The youth card is for young persons from 16 and up to 19 years of age and also for 15 year olds in further education.
• Skyss. Hordaland county
  The Skyss youth card (UngdomSkyss) is for young persons from 16 and up to 19 years of age. The card is valid for 30 days.
• Kolumbus. Rogaland county
  The youth pass is for young persons between 15 and 21 years of age and is valid for 30 days.
